Conditions of hire
The recently renovated Clifton Beach Surf Life Saving Club is now available for public hire. Make your next conference, wedding or birthday a one to remember at Clifton Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Please read through this information carefully, including the conditions of hire to ensure that our venue is right for you. If you wish to continue with a booking please contact our bookings officer. We reserve the right to refuse any booking.

Here is what we offer:

Upstairs Area

Includes access to a fully-equipped kitchen, toilet facilities and use of A/V equipment (surround sound and television/monitor) and large deck area with barbecue.

Hourly fee: $35

($30 for permanent, regular bookings occurring at least monthly)

Function Rate (6pm - midnight): $250

This includes bar staff and liquor licence.

Weddings and longer functions by negotiation.
Downstairs Area

Includes access to male and female toilets and change rooms with hot showers.

Combined hourly fee for both upstairs and downstairs: $55

Conditions of hire
The following items are for the information of all regular and casual hirers of the Clifton Beach Clubhouse facilities.

Please ensure that the balance of any hire charges is paid prior to your event. The balance should be paid by direct deposit into the Clifton Beach Surf Lifesaving Club account. The details are as follows:

If any third party contractors are used (e.g. caterers), they are responsible for their own public liability insurance and a copy of their Certificate of Compliance needs to be forwarded to the club beforehand. Hirers using the club for any purpose outside of meetings/functions and the like will also need to organise their own public liability insurance.

Please liaise with the clubhouse booking officer to organise entry to the venue. You may be asked to lock up afterwards and set the alarm before returning the key (press the padlock icon followed by ‘E’ to set the alarm).

It is the responsibility of the hirer to leave the premises in a clean and tidy condition. A vacuum cleaner is kept in the storeroom behind the bar. If the change rooms and showers are used, it is essential that all sand is swept out. Brooms and squeegees are located in the change rooms for this purpose.

If the kitchen is used then it should be swept and the bench tops wiped down. Any crockery and/or cutlery should be washed, dried and put away.

It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that those attending the function DO NOT touch or interfere with any equipment stored downstairs. The hirer will be responsible for any damages that may occur to equipment by actions of those attending the function

When leaving the clubhouse, please be considerate of our neighbours and do so on a quiet and orderly manner. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that all those attending the function behave appropriately.

While there is no responsibility carried by Clifton Beach SLSC to provide first aid facilities, the club has a simple first aid kit stored behind the bar and a defibrillator located in the first aid room downstairs.

Appropriate decorations such as balloons and streamers can be used in the clubhouse. However ALL decorations must be removed at the conclusion of the function and disposed of in an appropriate way. **Please note that confetti, “glitter” stars or similar MAY NOT be used.

Alcohol is not permitted to be bought onto the premises; it must be purchased at the clubhouse bar.
